LA REVOLUCIÓN
Prolific Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada created thousands of illustrations to fight the social and political injustices that ultimately led to the Mexican Revolution. The revolution radically changed Mexican government, culture and people, and had a lasting impact here in El Paso and the borderland.
From October 12 through January 20, the El Paso Museum of Art will showcase an exhibition titled “After Posada: Revolution.” Here you can see much of Posada’s art and learn more about the artist whose work inspired an entire country.
To commemorate the opening of the El Paso Museum of Art's exhibition, we've created La Revolución –– a cocktail inspired by the revolution Posada helped ignite.
